- 1. What does it take to be an ideal telephone operator?
This is a common question asked to any interviewee irrespective of the job domain. Though, it is a common question, there are many things that an interviewer can understand through the answer. The interviewee must be cautious in giving the answer. The person must describe the self qualities that will be helpful in the job such as reliable, honest, convincing, polite, and so on. The answer should depict that the interviewee is apt for the job.
- 2. How many languages do you speak as the job requires the people who know atleast 4 languages?
The interviewee must be able to honest while answering the question. Also, the interviewee must be able to communicate in the languages specified fluently. Since, any obligation later in this perspective make you punished.
- 3. What are your past experiences?
Summarize your previous job experience and highlight the credits that you have attained in the previous organization. Focus more on the job description such as what actually you did in the previous organization as a telephone operator. Also, specify your convincing ability towards the customers. Mention any of your prolonged service such as throughout the day or any continuous shift in any critical situation.

The interviewee is always better with a typing speed of atleast 25 words per minute for a telephone operator job. The response should be confident, since there are situations where a telephone operator must type while talking. Hence, the interviewee must be able to manage both in the same time. Add any previous experience, if any, only when the interviewer gives you a chance.
- 5. What are your work time flexibilities?
As a telephone operator job requires 24/7 attention, the interviewee must be able to attend the work at any time. There will not be any exception for weekends, holidays, night hours, and so on. However, the interviewee must respond in a way that the person can meet the job requirements at any point of time. It means that the person is capable to fulfill the job at any stressful time and the productivity of service is same irrespective of time.
- 6. How patient enough you are in tackling a critical situation with the customer?
This is a very common situation that a telephone operator may arise in his/her life. This is because; sometimes the customer may be abusive and talk to you in a very aggressive manner. However, the telephone operator must be polite and convince the customer regarding the problem. Mention any of your previous experiences where you have been polite to a customer, who is abusive and irritating. If you are a fresher, illustrate an example describing the possibilities through which you can manage the situation.
- 7. How do you think that you are suitable to this job in this company?
This question demands you to answer your qualities that suit the job with regard to the company. Hence, specify the credential information you know about the company such as awards, rewards, its establishment, growth, and so on. Also, add your qualities that would meet the job requirements in such an awarded company.
